FRANKENSTEIN – LETTERS

The second in a series of short animated movies with attached learning materials to provide an introduction to the classic novel Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. This movie is based on the Letters from Captain Walton section that provides the introduction to the story. It covers a core curriculum need in literature classes to evaluate content presented in diverse media formats including visually and aurally. This product is an engaging way of reaching this standard.

THE ENDURANCE

Second in the Pocket History series. The incredible survival story of Ernest Shackleton and his 27 crew stranded on the Antarctic ice for 2 years after the crushing of their ship, Endurance. This video is based on journals from the expedition written at the time of the abandonment of the vessel, and takes the form of four diary entries outlining life in the Antarctic and being set adrift on the ice. It is intended for education purposes and is meant to supplement the reading of a book about the heroic adventure.

FRANKENSTEIN – INTRODUCTION

A new series I am creating for students of ESL and or literature, introducing classic stories in a short machinima movie. They will mostly consist of key scenes from the book put into movie form and will occasionally introduce the author and the process which leads to the creation of the story.

This first one is Frankenstein by Mary Shelley and contains the story of the genesis of the book and one key scene from the movie. In this case the scene of the Monsters awakening.

A one minute action short. Played around with this action scene I’ve had on my computer for a while. Started off with an idea that didn’t go anywhere, a bit like the guy in this movie ; )
