Hyde1s

Although this movie is obviously not set in Tokyo, it’s made under the Tokyo Tales label. I’ve always wanted to try and make a traditional gothic horror movie on the MovieStorm platform, and this story seems to be the perfect fit. The film is also aimed at learners of English as a Foreign Language, and I will be working to make materials for it as soon as I can finish the series. There will be several parts to this which will be made into one movie when I’ve finished.

Purists will note that I have taken some artistic license with the original story – well doesn’t every movie ; )

In this, the first episode we have Dr Jekyll’s friend, the lawyer John Utterson, meet the evil Hyde for the first time.

In the present climate of avian and pig flu, SARS and other contagious diseases, what happens when someone coughs on a crowded train? Especially in hygiene conscious Japan, where the toilet seats have automatic plastic covers and even the escalator rails are anti bacterial. Wash your hands and put on your masks. It won’t do you any good this time, but enjoy the ride!

This is not strictly a Tokyo Tales movie though it is meant to be set in Japan. It is my first attempt at using the Movie Storm software to make a film. It is a short disaster movie with a public health warning at the end. Some of the characters in this will be appearing in my upcoming movie ‘The Recluse’.

This was one of the (10!?) winners in the Movie Storm 30 second film competition.

Upcoming Movies

I’m working on two new movies, which I hope to have completed in late summer. The first of these, ‘The Recluse’, is being made with MovieStorm. My first attempt at using this software. The second, ‘The Sacrifice’, is being made with The Sims 2′. As always, it’s slow progress!

The Recluse                                              The Sacrifice

The fourth and final part of ‘The Lecher’ series. In this episode there are more shocks and surprises for Kenjiro Sato. Not only is he blackmailed by the sweet young thing he is dating, but he has a heartwarming reunion with ‘the stalker’. Can things possibly get any worse!?

Winner of the Bigstar TV short animation contest – January 2009.

Third part of the ‘Lecher’ series. In this episode, Kenjiro Sato’s luck finally seems to be changing. He gets a call from someone who claims to have found his stolen wallet and the pickpockets and stalkers that have plagued his life seem to be a thing of the past as he finds himself having a night on the town with a beautiful young woman. Is all this too good to be true? Watch the movie and find out.

The fourth and last part of this story – ‘The Payback’ will be published soon.

The sequel to ‘The Lecher’. Kenjiro Sato’s bad day seems to be getting worse. Having been beaten up by a little old lady, had his wallet stolen and spent a fruitless morning at the police station, he now finds himself being followed by the stalker from hell.

The third and final part of this story, ‘The Honeytrap’, will hopefully be published sometime in early July.

The high res version can be downloaded by clicking on the ‘video‘ tag at the top of this page.
